BABYMOON!

During the doctor's visit where I first found out about the baby, my doctor asked 'you hadn't planned any trips in the next year had you?', to which I giggled.  We are always planning the next adventure.  Of course we had loosely planned trips to: NYC, Austin, Vegas and a big trip planned for Costa Rica/ Panama for 10 days.

"Well," my doctor said "you ought to think about planning your babymoon instead!  Get out of town, relax, spend time with family.  Make it memorable.".  So......... we did!  We wanted to go visit our dear friends, Kris & Geoff in Austin but as Joe was transitioning jobs and I am saving up PTO, we opted to stay closer.  Considering all of the things going on in our lives we figured: where better to spend the long weekend than Crested Butte?

My sister (auntie B), Joe & I road-tripped to Crested Butte to spend some time at home in the middle of the beautiful Gunnison Valley with my beautiful parents. We also coincidentally caught the Big Air on Elk Ave. competition that our friend, Kyle, was in and subsequently won!!!

Here are some highlights from the trip:

(sorry there are so many! It was hard narrowing them down!)

Jose enjoying the beautiful Colorado weather and the view from my dad's new deck.

Wouldn't be a babymoon without some grillin'!

Elliemuffin thought this trip was an Ellie-moon.  Crested Butte is her version of Heaven.
